Memory use was not very high, but it was constantly grinding on the hard disk. The Opera Web browser used to work like that when displaying lots of huge images. Actually, this approach might be useful in a few specific cases. These memory swap programs swap constantly, whether needed or not. In fact, the operating system does that for you automatically-but only when needed. You can be sure that if you actually could force any Web browser to use a paltry 1.5 MB, the hard disk would be grinding constantly, and the program would run exceedingly slowly. Seriously, though, these programs that force memory swapping do work, in that they are very successful at fooling people who don't know the difference between RAM use and total memory allocated ("memory usage" vs. So Firemin reduces Firefox memory use to 1.5 MB? That's not even credible.
